Football Game Preview: Palmyra-Eagle Panthers vs. Cambria-Friesland Hilltoppers

The Palmyra-Eagle Panthers are taking a road trip to challenge the Cambria-Friesland Hilltoppers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Palmyra-Eagle hasn't scored more than 12 points for four games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Palmyra-Eagle is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Lourdes on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Panthers might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 42-0 to the Knights, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin football rankings (they are ranked 335th, while the Knights are ranked 137th).

Meanwhile, Cambria-Friesland came up short against Westfield Area on Friday and fell 26-14.

Cambria-Friesland's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Palmyra-Eagle, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Palmyra-Eagle took a serious blow against Cambria-Friesland in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 36-7. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
