Baseball Game Preview: Warhill Lions vs. Denbigh Patriots

The Warhill Lions will take on the Denbigh Patriots at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Warhill will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.

On Wednesday, Warhill didn't have quite enough to beat Lafayette and fell 9-8. The loss continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Rams: they've now lost seven in a row.

Logan Timberg made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Brayden Muniz was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs.

Meanwhile, Denbigh hadn't done well against Warwick recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Patriots came out on top against the Raiders by a score of 9-5. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Patriots.

Trevor Foote was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Radican, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Denbigh kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Denbigh now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Warhill, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.
