Rickards gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They blew past the Marianna Bulldogs 66-38. This was payback for the Raiders, who suffered a 57-54 loss the last time these two teams met.

Rickards was led to victory by Calvin Thomas and Gary Scott. Thomas posted 18 points, while Scott earned 12 points. The matchup was Thomas' third in a row with at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mikel Adams, who put up nine points.

Marianna's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lorenzo Barnes, who had 11 points. Brandon Angerbrandt was another key player, putting up nine points and eight boards.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rickards will welcome Chiles at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Marianna, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on South Walton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
