It was a good run, but Centralia unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Valley Heights Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 last Tuesday.

While Centralia was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-23.

Malayna Becker paced Centralia's offense, picking up five kills. Becker got some help from Keelyn Rempe and her nine assists.

Centralia's defeat dropped their record down to 26-6. As for Valley Heights, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-7 record this season.

Centralia has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Linn on the 11th. As for Valley Heights, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Hanover on the 11th.
