Baseball Recap: Springlake-Earth Comes Up Short

Springlake-Earth was the 9-8 winner over Crosbyton when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Wolverines fell just short of the Chiefs by a score of 11-10 on Saturday. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Springlake-Earth's loss dropped their record down to 6-9-1. As for Crosbyton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-8.

Coming up, Springlake-Earth will be playing in front of their home fans against Lamesa at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Crosbyton, they will head out to face off against Nazareth at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Chiefs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Swifts have averaged an impressive 12.4 runs per game this season.
