Recap: Lutheran South Academy Pioneers vs. St. Michael's Crusaders
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bay Area Christian, the Lutheran South Academy Pioneers were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They walked away with a 53-46 win over St. Michael's.
Makynna Robbins continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Lutheran South Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Morgan Gray, who scored 9 points along with 16 rebounds.
Lutheran South Academy's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for St. Michael's, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.
Lutheran South Academy will take on Incarnate Word Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Incarnate Word Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for St. Michael's, they will head out on the road to face off against Geneva at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Geneva will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
