Soccer Recap: Plant's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Plant's offense. They fell just short of the Newsome Wolves by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Wolves apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Plant's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-3-2. As for Newsome, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.

Plant and Newsome should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. Plant (ranked 129th) will meet Wharton (ranked 275th) at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Plant is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.2 goals per game this season. Meanwhile, Newsome will square off against Gaither at 8:00 p.m. on Friday up 226 places (163 vs. 389).
