Softball Recap: Sweeny Comes Up Short

Sweeny fell victim to El Campo and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Ricebirds, falling 10-0. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Ricebirds recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Sweeny's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for El Campo, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-6-1.

Coincidentally, Sweeny and El Campo will both be playing Bay City the next time they take the field. The Bulldogs will host the Blackcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Ricebirds will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
