Softball Recap: Caldwell County Takes a Loss

Caldwell County managed to slip by Henderson County the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Caldwell County Tigers came up short against the Henderson County Colonels on Thursday, falling 9-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Tigers have suffered since April 19, 2024.

Grace Watson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Harper Holeman, who scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Caldwell County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Henderson County, their win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Caldwell County will face off against Union County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Henderson County, they will square off against Livingston Central at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
