Basketball Recap: Rock Ridge Takes a Loss

Rock Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 58-36 to the Loudoun Valley Vikings. While losing is never fun, the Phoenix can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 245th, while the Vikings are ranked 94th).

Rock Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Loudoun Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a massive bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rock Ridge will face off against John Champe at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Rock Ridge is facing John Champe at the right time seeing as John Champe is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Loudoun Valley, they will take on Heritage at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
