Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dexter Southfield). Everything went their way against the Cushing Academy Penguins on Wednesday as they made off with a 12-2 win. Dexter Southfield not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 13, 2024 (when they won 14-2).

Dexter Southfield got a great performance from Ian McWhinnie as he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). Those seven strikeouts gave McWhinnie a new career-high.

At the plate, Gabe Malaret was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Seamus Condon, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two RBI.
