Basketball Game Preview: Independence Eagles vs. Centennial Cougars

The Independence Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Centennial Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Independence is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Independence ended up a good deal behind Franklin and lost 64-48.

Meanwhile, Centennial didn't have quite enough to beat Nolensville on Tuesday and fell 64-62. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Centennial's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Independence, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-8.

Independence couldn't quite finish off Centennial in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 and fell 46-43. Can Independence avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
