Softball Recap: Mallard Creek Comes Up Short

After soaring to 20 runs the game before, Mallard Creek was a bit more limited in their contest on Wednesday. They lost 16-1 to the Porter Ridge Pirates. The Mavericks were not able to make up for their defeat to the Pirates from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Mallard Creek saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Morgan Lampkin, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1.

Mallard Creek's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Porter Ridge, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-4.

Mallard Creek wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 18-2 defeat against Hopewell on the 13th. As for Porter Ridge, they have also already played their next matchup, a 10-4 victory against South Mecklenburg on the 14th.
