Softball Recap: Bell Finds Home Field Redemption Against Countryside Christian

There's no place like home for Bell, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. Everything went their way against the Countryside Christian Minutemen on Monday as they made off with an 18-6 win. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by ten runs or more this season.

Bella Sneed tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (four).

At the plate, Jodi Waddle was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Dacy Graham was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Bell was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .600. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Bell has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Countryside Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season.

Bell will face off against Madison County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Countryside Christian, they will square off against First Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
