Baseball Recap: Byron-Bergen Finds Home Field Redemption Against School of the Arts

Byron-Bergen's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Elba on Wednesday. The Bees blew past the School of the Arts Silverhawks 8-1.

Dylan Utter was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

In other batting news, Martin McConnell was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Byron-Bergen is 4-1 when McConnell posts two or more runs, but 1-6 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Max Marsocci, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.
