Volleyball Recap: Amador Valley Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Amador Valley and Del Oro squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Amador Valley had to settle for second. They fell 3-1 to the Golden Eagles.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-16, 14-25, 25-22.

Del Oro's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caden Pancoast, who had 12 digs and one assist. That's the most digs Pancoast has posted since back in April.

Amador Valley's defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 27-12. As for Del Oro, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 25-13 record this season.

Amador Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Del Oro, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Buchanan on the 24th.
