Baseball Recap: Clearfield Makes It Six in a Row at Home

There's no place like home for Clearfield, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They walked away with a 7-2 win over the Box Elder Bees on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Falcons: when they faced off against the Bees on Wednesday, they had to take a 3-0 defeat.

Colt Chambers was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Frei, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Clearfield pushed their record up to 12-11 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Box Elder, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season.

Clearfield will take on Northridge at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. The Knights have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.61 runs per game on average), something the Falcons will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Box Elder, they will square off against Bonneville at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
