Softball Recap: Riverdale Comes Up Short

Riverdale lost against Mineral Point back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Chieftains lost 11-1 to the Pointers. The Chieftains just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.

Riverdale's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Mineral Point, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Riverdale will challenge Darlington at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Mineral Point, they will face off against Fennimore at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Pointers will need to watch out since the Golden Eagles have now posted at least ten runs in their last five matches.
