Shenendehowa skates past Shaker with ease

Recap: Shenendehowa Plainsmen vs. Shaker Bison

The Shenendehowa Plainsmen entered their tilt with the Shaker Bison with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. Shenendehowa breezed by Shaker at home to the tune of 62-29. Shenendehowa has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Shaker's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Lexi Carrington, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds, and Jayla Geter who scored eight points along with two steals.

Shenendehowa's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.6 points per game. As for Shaker, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-6 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shenendehowa will play host again and welcome Guilderland, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Guilderland will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 146th, while Shenendehowa is ranked ninth). As for Shaker, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Duanesburg at 6:00 p.m.
