Basketball Recap: Dickson Comes Up Short

Dickson lost to Lone Grove back in February of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Comets took a blow against the Longhorns, falling 60-30. While losing is never fun, the Comets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 285th, while the Longhorns are ranked 71st).

This is the second loss in a row for Dickson and nudges their season record down to 8-15. As for Lone Grove, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-5.

Dickson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 47-29 defeat against Madill on the 16th. As for Lone Grove, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 68-60 victory against Plainview on the 14th.
