Softball Recap: Bay Shore Takes a Loss

Bay Shore was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 5-1 to the Walt Whitman Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, with their most recent loss being a 4-2 defeat back in April.

Bay Shore's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Walt Whitman, their win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-11.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Bay Shore is set to square off against their familiar foe Lindenhurst at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Walt Whitman will take on rival Ward Melville at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
