Volleyball Game Preview: Thomas Jefferson Spartans vs. George Washington Patriots

The Thomas Jefferson Spartans will head out on the road to square off against the George Washington Patriots at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.

On Wednesday, Thomas Jefferson didn't have quite enough to beat Regis Groff and fell 3-2.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Thomas Jefferson sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 20-25, 25-19, 20-25, 15-10.

Meanwhile, George Washington lost 3-0 to Vista PEAK Prep on Wednesday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-21, 25-16.

Thomas Jefferson now has a losing record of 5-6. As for George Washington, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10.

Thomas Jefferson beat George Washington 3-1 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will the Spartans repeat their success, or do the Patriots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
