Goodhue is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 46-27 victory over Grand Meadow. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 20th, while the Superlarks are ranked 100th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Walker-Hackensack-Akeley posted their closest win since December 8, 2023 on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Braham 61-59.

Walker-Hackensack-Akeley pushed their record up to 24-3 with the win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.1 points over those games. As for Goodhue, their victory bumped their record up to 23-5.
