Denmark-Olar picks up 17th straight win at home

Recap: Denmark-Olar Vikings vs. Williston-Elko Blue Devils

The Denmark-Olar Vikings waltzed into their matchup Monday with six straight wins but they left with seven. They claimed a resounding 72-45 victory over Williston-Elko at home. Denmark-Olar's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

It was another big night for Robert Bovain, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 18 rebounds. Those 18 rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Tykeen Ross, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds.

Denmark-Olar pushed their record up to 7-1 with that victory, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 23.29 points. As for Williston-Elko, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Denmark-Olar won't have much time to rest: their next match is against White Knoll at 7:30 p.m. on December 19th. Williston-Elko will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Ridge Spring-Monetta at 8:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
