Baseball Recap: Montezuma Comes Up Short

Montezuma made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Lynnville-Sully, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Braves fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 10-8 on Friday. The Braves haven't had much luck with the Hawks recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Montezuma's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Lynnville-Sully, their victory was their 24th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Montezuma will face off against Belle Plaine at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Lynnville-Sully, they will challenge Prairie City-Monroe at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
