Basketball Recap: Landyn Miller's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Moss Point over West Harrison

Moss Point was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They received a blow as they fell 41-26 to the West Harrison Hurricanes. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 18-15 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2024.

Moss Point's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Landyn Miller, who posted 12 points and three steals. Kirsten Bailey was another key player, putting up five points and three steals.

Moss Point's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for West Harrison, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Moss Point didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 59-24 loss against Harrison Central on the 15th. As for West Harrison, they have also already played their next game, a 52-17 victory against Petal on the 13th.
