Basketball Recap: Caravel Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with Milford

On Monday, Caravel faced Milford in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Caravel took a hard 57-39 fall against Milford. Caravel was not able to make up for their defeat to Milford from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Caravel's loss dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Milford, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

Coming up, Caravel will square off against St. Elizabeth at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Elizabeth is on a seven-game streak of home wins, Caravel a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for Milford, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 57-46 defeat against Cape Henlopen on the 18th.
