Decatur entered their tilt with Kent-Meridian on Monday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They blew past the Royals 22-2. The result was nothing new for the Golden Gators, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Jacob Pech made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Pech was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. What's more, he posted two hits, the most he's had since back in March.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Eric Havili, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Buol, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Decatur was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .577. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kent-Meridian only posted a batting average of .062.

Decatur's record now sits at 18-1-1. As for Kent-Meridian, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-16.

Decatur will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Royals: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
