Decatur entered their tilt with Kent-Meridian on Monday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They blew past the Royals 22-2. The result was nothing new for the Golden Gators, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Jacob Pech made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Pech was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Decatur will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Royals: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
