There's no place like home for Whiteland, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They skirted past the Martinsville Artesians 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Artesians: they've now won seven in a row.

Whiteland was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 22-25, 23-25, 25-13, 15-13.

Victor Highbaugh paced Whiteland's offense, picking up 11 kills. Highbaugh got some help from Henry Zauk and his 28 assists. Yuvi Badwal and Caleb Oliver kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with five aces apiece.

When it comes to explaining why Martinsville lost on Tuesday, don't look at Garrett Gardner. Despite the final result, he had six digs and two aces. Gardner is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted 18 or more in each of the last four games he's played.

Whiteland's victory bumped their record up to 8-19. As for Martinsville, their loss dropped their record down to 9-12.
