Basketball Game Preview: Eagle Valley Devils vs. Battle Mountain Huskies

Eagle Valley has gone 8-2 against Battle Mountain recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Devils will square off against the Huskies at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Eagle Valley took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They walked away with a 47-39 win over Summit. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Eagle Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ella Webster, who went 5-for-12 to rack up 13 points in addition to six boards and three steals. Webster has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Terra Hasley, who posted 11 points.

Eagle Valley was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. They are 4-2 when they've passed the ball that well.

Meanwhile, Battle Mountain came into Thursday's contest having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They strolled past Steamboat Springs with points to spare two weeks ago, taking the game 35-21.

The victory got Eagle Valley back to even at 7-7. As for Battle Mountain, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.

Eagle Valley strolled past Battle Mountain when the teams last played back in February of 2025 by a score of 43-28. Do the Devils have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Huskies turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
