Softball Recap: Dwyer Takes a Loss

Dwyer lost against Doral Academy back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Dwyer took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Doral Academy. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dwyer saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Fatima Masri, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. Cameron Solano also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Dwyer's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Doral Academy, they pushed their record up to 13-0 with the win, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dwyer will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on John Carroll Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on April 1. As for Doral Academy, they will venture away from home to challenge Montverde Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Montverde Academy will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Doral Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
