The Sauk Rapids-Rice Storm's's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Becker Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on December 21st. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Even though Sauk Rapids-Rice has not done well against Brainerd recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Sauk Rapids-Rice skirted past Brainerd 83-80.
Meanwhile, Becker entered their tilt with North Branch with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Becker secured a 93-87 W over North Branch on Tuesday. Becker's offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.
Kyan Blomquist continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 23 points. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Weiss, who scored 16 points.
Sauk Rapids-Rice's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Becker, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.
Sauk Rapids-Rice took their win against Becker in their previous meeting back in February by a conclusive 80-59. Will Sauk Rapids-Rice repeat their success, or does Becker have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
