Baseball Game Preview: Maxwell Panthers vs. Willows Honkers

The Maxwell Panthers are taking a road trip to square off against the Willows Honkers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Maxwell's pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so Willows' hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Tuesday, Maxwell was able to grind out a solid win over Hamilton, taking the game 5-1. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Braves recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Winters hit Willows with a six-run fourth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Honkers came up short against the Warriors, falling 12-2. The Honkers have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Willows saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Collin Garman, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Willows' loss dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Maxwell, their win bumped their record up to 17-5.
