Recap: Midway Vikings vs. Lone Jack Mules
The Midway Vikings's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight defeat. They took a 41-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lone Jack. Midway has not had much luck with the Mules recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Leading Lone Jack to victory were Tyler Carpenter and Garrett Mantzey. Carpenter scored nine points along with eight rebounds and two steals, while Mantzey scored 13 points along with four steals. Quintin Miller was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Midway has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for Lone Jack, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.
Midway will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Rich Hill presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Vikings in Missouri (the Tigers are ranked 184th, while the Vikings are ranked 504th). Lone Jack's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th.
