Baseball Game Preview: Wayne Pioneers vs. Fairport Red Raiders

The Wayne Pioneers are taking a road trip to square off against the Fairport Red Raiders at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Wayne is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

On Thursday, Wayne didn't have quite enough to beat Brockport and fell 3-2.

Levi Blankenship made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. Those stolen bases were his first of the season.

Meanwhile, while it was Fairport who put the first runs on the board on Wednesday, it was Newburgh Free Academy who put up more. The Red Raiders fell just short of the Goldbacks by a score of 3-2. The Red Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wayne's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Fairport, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
