The Wayzata Trojans will square off against the Edina Hornets at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Wayzata is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

Wayzata took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They came out on top against Eden Prairie by a score of 6-3. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Ella Goodnature spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on ten hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Lexi Drasher, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Anderson, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Edina unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 6-3 to Apple Valley.

The win got Wayzata back to even at 2-2. As for Edina, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Wayzata has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9 hits per game. However, it's not like Edina struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.9 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
