Baseball Game Preview: Quitman Bulldogs vs. Eustace Bulldogs

For the second straight game, Quitman will face off against Eustace. We've got a battle between Bulldogs coming up.

Quitman will bounce into Friday's match after beating Eustace, who they had gone 0-5 against in their five prior meetings. Quitman came out on top against Eustace by a score of 5-2 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Quitman.

Davis Watson made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 6.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. Watson was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Colton Barkdull, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

Quitman's win bumped their record up to 5-13-1. As for Eustace, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12-1.
