On Saturday Patrick Henry's undefeated season almost came to an end. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Arcadia Redskins. Those four runs were actually the fewest the Patriots have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Faith Meyer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in nine consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Patrick Henry's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Grace Behnfeldt, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Illiana Schweibert also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Patrick Henry hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least two batters in three consecutive games.

Patrick Henry's record is now 10-0. As for Arcadia, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Patrick Henry beat the Redskins by a score of 11-1 later that day.
