Baseball Recap: Macarthur Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

MacArthur came into Tuesday's game having lost 18 straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They never let the Urbana Tigers get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory on Tuesday.

Urbana's batters probably weren't too happy with Aidan Bruce, who pitched a no hitter and racked up eight Ks (he gave up zero walks). Bruce also allowed no hits, which is notable because MacArthur is 3-1 when he allows at most three hits, but 1-19 otherwise.

On the hitting side, MacArthur's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Zion Bradford, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

MacArthur's victory bumped their record up to 4-20. As for Urbana, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 13 of their last 14 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-20 record this season.

MacArthur wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 7-1 loss against Lincoln on the 22nd. As for Urbana, they will be taking part in a tournament against Kankakee at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers are facing the Kays at the right time seeing as the Kays are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
