Volleyball Recap: St. Joseph Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for St. Joseph, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the El Campo Ricebirds on Tuesday. The Flyers haven't had any issues with the Ricebirds recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

While St. Joseph might've won, it sure wasn't easy: El Campo scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 29-27, 21-25, 25-18, 25-19.

Jordyn Johnston paced St. Joseph's offense, picking up 15 kills. Johnston got some help from Zoey Henning and her 14 assists. Abigail Brister controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

St. Joseph's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for El Campo, they moved to 5-5 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

St. Joseph wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Yoakum on the 19th. As for El Campo, they will take on San Diego in a tournament on Friday.
