Softball Recap: Buffalo Snags Tenth Victory in Last 11 Games

Buffalo came out on top against Pleasant Hope on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run fifth inning. The Bison's pitchers stepped up to hand the Pirates a 13-0 shutout. Considering the Bison have won 12 matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Buffalo is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Pleasant Hope, they dropped their record down to 8-13 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Buffalo will take on rival El Dorado Springs at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Pleasant Hope is set to square off against their familiar foe Conway at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
