Football Recap: Daniel Boone Takes a Loss

Daniel Boone was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 55-6 loss at the hands of the Wyomissing Spartans. While losing is never fun, the Blazers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 443rd, while the Spartans are ranked 23rd).

Daniel Boone's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Wyomissing, they pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Daniel Boone is set to challenge their familiar foe Donegal at 7:00 p.m. on the 10th. Meanwhile, Wyomissing will face off against rival Twin Valley at 1:30 p.m. on the 11th. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Spartans 12.6, the Raiders 7.7) so any points scored will be well earned.
