Preview: Sherwood Warriors vs. Poolesville Falcons
Sherwood is 0-5 against Poolesville since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Sherwood Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Poolesville Falcons at 7:15 p.m. Sherwood is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games.
Last Thursday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Sherwood beat Paint Branch 50-46.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sherwood to victory, but perhaps none more so than Avery Anderson, who scored seven points along with nine rebounds and eight steals. That's the first time this season that Anderson pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubree Thompson, who scored 11 points.
After soaring to a 38-point victory in their last game, Poolesville came back down to earth on Friday. They fell just short of Rockville by a score of 42-39. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat Poolesville has suffered yet this season.
Sherwood's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Poolesville, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
