Basketball Recap: Skyline Comes Up Short

Skyline lost against Mountain View last Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Skyline Coyotes had to suffer through a 86-24 loss at the hands of the Mountain View Toros. While losing is never fun, the Coyotes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 225th, while the Toros are ranked 82nd).

Despite the loss, Skyline still got an impressive performance from Shiloh Beleshay, who went 6 for 11 on his way to 14 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Skyline and nudges their season record down to 3-14. As for Mountain View, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-8.

Skyline wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 68-38 loss against Mesa on the 22nd. As for Mountain View, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 43-35 defeat against Red Mountain on the 22nd.
