Recap: Barrow Whalers vs. Bethel Warriors
The Barrow Whalers won the last time they faced the Bethel Warriors, and things went their way on Friday too. Barrow walked away with a 62-50 win over the Warriors.
It was another big night for Ethan Goodwin, who scored 30 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sasita Unutoa, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
Barrow is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-8 record this season. As for Bethel, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-5.
Barrow will head out on the road to face off against the Warriors at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Alaska (Bethel is ranked 44th, while the Whalers are ranked 30th). As for Bethel, they will stay at home for another game and welcome the Whalers at 1:30 p.m. on January 27th. Hopefully Barrow focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday.
