Football Recap: Middletown South Comes Up Short at Home Against Cherokee + How To Watch

Middletown South unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were just a hair shy of victory on Thursday and fell 27-26 to the Cherokee Chiefs. The Eagles lost against the Chiefs in their previous head to head back in August of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 30-0 score last time.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Middletown South will challenge Manalapan at 7:00 p.m. on September 5. As for Cherokee, they will face off against Lenape at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
