Basketball Recap: Detroit Country Day Falls Short Against Ranked Carroll

Detroit Country Day is ranked highly in their home state and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Carroll. The Detroit Country Day Yellowjackets took a 52-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Carroll Patriots. The Yellowjackets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Detroit Country Day's loss dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Carroll, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 18-2.

Coming up, Detroit Country Day will take on Haslett at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Haslett's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six contests. As for Carroll, they will face off against Batavia at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
