Soccer Game Preview: Alleghany vs. Stuarts Draft

Alleghany are taking a road trip to square off against Stuarts Draft at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Cougars on Monday. Alleghany came out on top against Patrick County by a score of 5-3. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Alleghany's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Meanwhile, Stuarts Draft hadn't done well against Fort Defiance recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Cougars won by a goal and slipped past the Indians 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for Stuarts Draft.

They hit Fort Defiance with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Micah Kelton, Jaime Loya, and Anthony Gomez.

Stuarts Draft now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Alleghany, their record now sits at 3-4.
