Volleyball Recap: Georgetown-Ridge Farm Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

Georgetown-Ridge Farm hadn't done well against Milford recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Buffaloes had just enough and edged out the Bearcats 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Buffaloes have posted against the Bearcats since September 11, 2018.

Georgetown-Ridge Farm had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-22, 25-11.

Hadlee Hayes paced Georgetown-Ridge Farm's offense, picking up 16 kills. Hayes got some help from Rubyrae Fraser-Soule and her 28 assists. Finally, Katie Wersich and Addisen Ellis kept the team grounded on defense, each having blocked two attacks.

Georgetown-Ridge Farm's victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2. As for Milford, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.
