Warren came tearing into Tuesday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2.3 goals), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Taft Raiders. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 129th, while the Raiders are ranked 625th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Osmar Gonzalez Cervantes was the driving force of Warren's attack as he scored both of Warren's goals, bringing his season total up to four goals.

Warren's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored nine goals over those three matchups. As for Taft, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season.

Coincidentally, Warren and Taft will both be playing Sotomayor the next time they take the pitch. Taft will host Sotomayor at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while Warren will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on March 5th.
